  The title pretty much says it all. Being up above the water with an uninterrupted view was such a joy. Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean was wonderful. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and the general layout of the space worked very well for us.

  We loved the quiet and low-key setting of the SeaLodge. We were disappointed that it is not ocean front because the photos certainly suggested that it was. Might be good to state that.

    It is indeed oceanfront. You have gorgeous panoramic unobstructed views. It is not beachfront, but nothing in Princeville is beachfront because Princeville is on a bluff, and the beach is accessed by a path you follow down the bluff. We do not advertise Sealodge as beachfront, but it does have great oceanfront views, and onsite beach access.

  Our stay on the Island of Kauai was wonderful, staying in Princeville at the Sealodge was great, nice, quite and dark right on the cliff overlooking the sea. Every morning waking up to chirping birds and the sound of waves breaking was just what we needed. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

  The Sealodge rental was a great place to stay. My wife and I enjoyed the location on the Northern Coast of Kauai as we found Princeville to be quieter than other areas on the island. The place itself was very nice and well maintained and the ocean view from the linai was as majestic the last day as it was on the first day. We would recommend the rental to anyone. Our concierge, Jeannie, was excellent and was able to provide us with every activity we had set out to do (surfing, luau, boat tour,and kayaking). The only concerns were that the bed was very very soft and therefore we slept poorl, we also ended up having to purchase our own toilet paper. We were provided a starter roll, is there a fear that people will steal rolls, at the cleaning fee price couldn't you throw in at least one more roll? The only other annoyance was that the dish towels are not cleaned by the service staff. For the cleaning fee that accompanies the rental can you really not put a towel and a dishcloth in with the rest of the sheets and towels?? Big picture, the place was amazing and the stay provided us with a lifetime of memories.

    I am sorry you did not find the mattress comfortable. It is a new mattress, but a softer type, which some people prefer, but if you like a hard mattress you will not be as comfortable. Towels are absolutely supposed to be cleaned by the housekeeper!!! We will be sure to remind them of that.

  The location of SeaLodge J4 can't be beat- fantastic views of the ocean from all rooms!
  The condo was cute, clean and well stocked with amenities.
  Our only complaint would be the bed- it seemed smaller than a queen and could use replacing- very soft and saggy in the middle after too much use.

  Good location and close to what you need dining, markets and ice cream just a few steps out the back gate. From this location you can go to all points on the Garden Isle. Great value and you can use the beach toys as well so have a great time we did. Mahalo

  Nice oceanview place, on the first floor quiet and peaceful.
  The kitchen was well equipped, and the bedroom comfy.
  
  The place is at the end of a street, so you will need a car to move around or go to Hanalei bay, or Tunnels beach.

  The Sealodge Condominium was just a great experience, especially being right on the the cliff overlooking the N. Pacific Ocean.

  We stayed in J4 and it was an excellent condo with wonderful views from every room and from the back patio. It was well furnished and had many little extras such as towels and chairs for the beach, boogie boards, a blender, tin foil and a small patio table with chairs. Our only issue with the unit was that the bed and pillows had a slight unpleasant odor. Overall we loved it and wish we could have stayed much longer!

  If you plan to stay on the north shore, you couldn't ask for a much better location. Its a quiet area right on a bluff overlooking the water. Its not for the "late night party" types since locals as well as visitors stay in the condos. The local residents we met we nice. The condo we stayed in was J4, a single unit. The decor was cute and all the standard utensils were provided. It was nice to have a washer and drier in the unit too! The only "issues" with the unit was that the kitchen lights didn't work and the fridge light went out. It took the maintenance folks a few days to repair the kitchen lights, but still only 1 worked. Not a big deal... The bed was a little soft for our taste as we prefer a firmer bed, but that's just our preference. With all the hiking we did, it would have been nice to have a hot tube to soak in. There is a pool but who swims in a pool when your surrounded by beautiful beaches??? The grounds are kept really nice. Given the opportunity to return, we will most likely return to the same spot. With Hanalei just down the road, the Kalalau trail and Ke'e beach at the end of the road, Ha'ena beach, Tunnels beach, and Pine Trees all so close. Anini beach with the snorkeling and turtles...we saw 2! Princeville is a great location! There is a great little secluded beach on the property too. A short 10 minute walk on a trail at the end of the property by building A ;)

  We stayed here for one week in March during the worst weather on Kauai in 35 years! The condo help up very well,unlike some other units. The view from any window is spectacular. Dave, the handyman was more than helpful with advice. Our only complaint is that the dryer basket didn't tumble and no-one from the management company returned our call. A ceiling fan in the condo would be a welcome upgrade.
  
  We would love to return there and see Kauai in all its glory and J4 would be a great place to stay!

  For the most part we really enjoyed our stay, however it would have been nice to have more than 4 bath towels when the dryer is teeny tiny and you can only wash about 3 at one time I like to use a fresh towel each day. I also thought the cleaning fee was high when we were asked to take out the trash and make sure all dishes and beach towels were washed ourselves before we left.
  The view was amzaing and the reason I booked the condo in the first place and I was not dissapointed.

  Our biggest complaint with the property was the very high cleaning fee that did not include any mid-week service - not even dropping off clean towels. In addition, we were required to do some clean-up of the unit before we left. The fee was very high for
  such a small unit and it put a sour note on the end of an otherwise great week to have to clean up, knowing that we had already paid for a cleaning service. Otherwise, it's a beautiful unit and we had a great time!

    A cleaning charge of $85 is quite modest if you take a look at other rentals for comparison. Since a washer and dryer are provided right in the condo, guests only need to run a load of wash to have clean towels. The ONLY cleaning required of guests checking out, is that they take the garbage out when they go.

  Love the location. Beautiful view of ocean, beach and sunrise. Nice location on the north shore. The condo was even better than the pictures online. There was everything available that you need. I would recommend this condo, especially if you want to do a lot on the north shore.

  We stayed at Sealodge J4 and had a delightful vacation. 5 stars all around. The view from our lanai was spectacular, including a magnificent sunrise and frolicking whales on our first morning, second morning, third.... The location in Princeville is perfect - beautiful community and convenient, too. Our airline made arriving more difficult than it needed to be but Ahh Aloha was accommodating and helpful every time we contacted them. Mahalo for a truly wonderful experience!

  We stayed at J4 for a week in early August. While the bottom floor can be loud overhead at times, this only happened during daylight hours. Noise typically bugs me, and the benefits far outweighed the noise. The advantage of the bottom floor is being able to wonder out onto the grass and take in the view anytime you want. J4 has great amenities including beach gear, coolers, and comfy furniture. My wife loved reading in the lanai, we both loved watching all the birds on the lawn.
  
  The bed was advertised as a queen, but I would say it's really one size smaller. Still, not a big issue.
  
  After considering all other areas of the island, we decided North Shore was for us and we couldn't have made a better decision. The weather is not as rainy as people say!

  The fixtures in the bathroom and the kitchen would soon be replaced by new ones. In the bath could also have a portable shower with hose attached so you can clean the tub after use easier.
