  We were on Kauai for one week and enjoyed our stay at Alii Kai. Unit 6103 was very nice, but we were a bit disappointed with the view, but did enjoy birdwatching. Neighboring units left lights on all night and there was a mechanical thrumming noise (a pump?) that annoyed at night. Very roomy and pleasant otherwise. Activity coordinator was very helpful. Mahalo.

  The sounds of the surf crashing on the rocks below and the wonderful breezes made for a great nights sleep. Large lanai to enjoy the views and no neighbors above or below. Kitchen and some of the furniture are a bit dated.

  We loved the location. Nice and quiet and the area not too crowded. Our #6103 was just great. It was clean and had everything you would need. Loved the nice thick towels and fully equiped kitchen. The unit could stand a bit of TLC. New screen door, unsightly tape on a counter in the kitchen, newer shower head in the master bath would be nice. All in all, we were very happy with the accommodations.

• A map would have been helpful as we arrived at night and it was very difficult to find without a map, some signs and unit #'s weren't illuminate.

  We enjoyed the ocean view from the large lania, nice linens, comfortable beds and the kitchen was well equipped- excellent value.

  We found this to be a very good value in a nice location. The deck (lanai) gives a nice ocean view, and it was relaxing to sleep hearing the pounding surf. The decor was playfully Hawaiian and fun. I recommend the owner replace the screen door to the living room lanai -- the screen is fine, but the metal frame had several large holes which would allow bugs inside. We ultimately kept the glass door closed. Though we were only two people, this place would easily accommodate 4 people in plenty of comfort. The building was not the newest in Princeville (probably built in the 1970s or so), but was reasonably well maintained.

  My first impression of this condo was that it was a little older (80's decor?) but I really didn't care after staying there for a few minutes. It was very quiet and relaxing. When we got there we were tired from traveling so we sat on the balcony with wine and cheese and just enjoyed the birds and ocean view! LOVED IT! We slept with the slider open to hear the rain. It was just so relaxing. We stayed in Kapa'a later on in a more upscale condo and I still liked this one much better! We will be staying here again!

  The unit was nice, we enjoyed the view. Having never been there it would have been good to know how the ocean was since the current was so strong there we had to drive each day in order to play in the ocean. Enjoyed visiting with other owners/renters during our stay, didn't like the fact that our pool did not have a hot tub. We should be allowed to use the other units area without problems.
