  For people that love the great outdoors, the location of this unit is fantastic! We had albatross, frigatebirds, and tropicbirds flying right next to the balcony, and had a premium viewing position for the whale show mornings and afternoons. It is wonderful to be so close to the ocean, and I miss the sight and sound already. This is a fantastic rental unit.

  Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. The place was very clean and great location. The only negative comments for someone who is sensitive to smells is that because it is an older condo it has a disturbing smell of "oldness". It would be nice if the bathrooms were upgraded and the carpets replaced with wood or ceramic flooring. Also, the pots and pans could be replaced with stainless steel. If these things do not bother you, it is a nice place to spend your vacation!

  Staying in this condo was by far the most wonderful rental experience I have ever had on Kauai. There are jaw-droppingly beautiful ocean and sunset views from large picture windows in every room. There is an immediate sense of profound peace, serenity, and relaxation upon entering the condo. It is brightly appointed with tasteful and charming decor, very comfortable furnishings, and a large master bedroom suite with an extremely comfortable king bed. You can see and hear the ocean while you prepare your food in an ample, well-designed kitchen, and then dine on the lanai overlooking the blue water and gorgeous cliffside foliage. What a beautiful place to sip your tea as the gentle waves roll in, and the starry skies turn dark indigo over the ocean. I can only imagine how fantastic it must be to stay here in whale-watching season. If you are looking for a beautiful, quiet, nurturing place in paradise to rest and renew, this is it. Sandy and Cathy at Ahh Aloha Kauai Vacation Rentals could not have been nicer or more helpful to deal with. I was very touched by my experience with Sandy in particular, who went out of her way to make sure I found the perfect place my heart desired. All in all, this place felt like home away from home, and I wish it were mine! The north shore of Kauai is one of the most sacred, stunning places in the world, and I will be returning here the moment I can to bask again in this incredible divine beauty, a magnificent feast for body and soul.

  We stayed at the 5304 for five nights and loved every second of it. The condo was beautifully equipped, and the owners have really done a great job of maintaining the property. We had read reviews from people who had stayed at other units and were really concerned about maintenance and the possibility of having bugs and other creatures in the unti. But we had nothing to worry about. The views from every room was remarkable. Waking up to the sound of the ocean and dawn breaking out at a distance was priceless. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed. The only disappointment was that we could neither see the sunrise or the sunset from that location. I have highly recommended this condo to my friends and family and we will certainly ask to stay there again on our next trip.

  The place was great. Very clean. Nicely furnished. Looks much better than the pictures show. 2 TV's, right on the water. The complex is on a bluff, the unit is on the 3rd floor over looking the bluff. All rooms have large windows looking out the the water. All you see is the water. Is an incredible view. Wake up in the morning to the sky turning different colors, great way to wake up. Large balcony that you can sit on and have breakfast and coffee. The unit is very nicely furnished. Everything that you will need. Great for a family, has enough room. Nice lawn area with seating right downstairs, overlooking the water on the bluff. The beach is not right there, you have to drive, or walk about 20 minites to get to beach. Highly recommend this unit. It is about a 20-30 minute drive to the popular North Side attractions, such as Hanalie Bay and tunnels Beach. Parking in the island is pretty easy, most shopping and restaurant areas have free parking. The beaches also have parking, but it does fill up as the day goes on, get there before 10am. The owner and her staff was great, they took care of all issues that I had. The wireless internet did not work 2 of my 3 days. The first day, I called, they fixed it, and it stopped working again the next day. My only complaint, as I really needed the internet.

  #5304 was everything we expected from the description & pictures. So many positives--the view, sound of waves, sunrises & sunsets, easy access to Princeville & Hanalei & to beaches like Tunnels, Anahola, & Moloa'a. Pillow top beds were comfortable. Plenty of beach supplies in the storage closet. Only a couple minor problems which weren't enough to downgrade from 5 stars to 4: screen door wouldn't lock & the pull-out shower knob (for turning on & off water & adjusting temperature) in main bathroom was very stiff & hard to pull out (we left a note there about that--maybe a little WD-40 would loosen it up?). Overall, we'd we back there in a heartbeat if we could!

  The condo is a nice location with a great view. It is also pretty homey and comfy. Drawbacks are that it did not have the two beds like it was advertised and I had to have one person sleep on the floor. The Lanai is pretty small and not a real good area to BBQ if you are in to that. All being said though it is a nice, clean place with a great view. nice comfortable place

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Alii Kai 5304. There is nothing better than waking up to that gorgeous view and the sound of the waves below. The condo was very well appointed and had everything we needed. The location was a short drive to so many beaches, we were frustrated not to have time enough to visit them all! It was the perfect homebase for a perfect island vacation!

  Check in was with a lock box which was very nice. We never saw management as we didn't have to check in/out or have any issues. The property has an excellent view from all the rooms. Was very comfortable for the 10 days we were there. Has everything you need. The only things we would suggest would be to get more comfortable beach chairs and an umbrella that isn't just for kids (although my 22 year old son looked cute under it) :) and the fridge could get a little colder. All minor things! Overall a great, well kept property. Thanks!

  Though this is an older building, the unit is updated, comfortable and well-equipped. The view is amazing! We could watch the whales without getting out of bed! Both the management company and the local manager were accommodating and easy to do business with - everything was as-advertised! My only complaint - the coffee maker was too small. If you're looking for a comfortable, quiet and relaxing getaway, this is the place!

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ali Kai - 5403. We specifically chose this unit because the views and property condition. We were not disappointed. The property was as good if not better than described. We simply did not want to leave the unit. The constant sound of the waves was soothing to go to sleep and wake to, and watching the ocean was mesmerizing. The unit owners obivously care for their property and it shows. The furniture was nearly new, the bedding was top notch, and the beds made you not want to get up. There was attention to detail in the crown moldings and new paint and new carpet. Cable television and wireless internet really made it easy for us to conduct business while away on our laptop (some of us just can't get away even when we are away!) The kitchen is stocked with everything you may need for cooking, so no worries there. We took morning walks through the Princeville resort and golf course and discovered a new beach each day. You must walk or drive to see the new St Regis (have an afternoon cocktail to enjoy the sunsets). We would definitely come back to enjoy this condo again. Thanks for everything!

  We have stayed in several units in the Ali'i Kai complex over the years and have never been disappointed. This unit is on the top floor with fabulous views. The unit is nicely appointed. We make full use of the kitchen when we visit, so it's always nice to have a working, full-sized kitchen, as well as washer & dryer. We would definitely recommend this unit, along with others in Ali'i Kai.

  We stayed in Alii Kai 5304 for 11 nights and loved every minute. The view from the lanai and the bedrooms was so spectacular it was hard to pull ourselves away from just sitting and enjoying it. The condo is spacious (for two), immaculately clean, and includes almost everything anyone could need. The only drawback with the location is that you have to drive to a beach and the ones that are closest (Sealodge, Hideaways) have either no parking (Sealodge) or very limited parking (Hideaways), which means you have to drive at least as far as Hanalei to go swimming. Other than that, the condo was a great value. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

  Loved it all except for the early check out, wish we could have stayed for the day. Leaving at 10 am is a bit early.
  The only other thing that would have been good would be local access to the beach/rocks below us.
  Great view of the sun rise over the ocean. Nice breazes, great views, quiet area to relax in and walk around in.
  Would definately rent again here.

  The unit was wonderful! The information about the unit that we received before hand was not, however. The description did not match the unit. It said there was a stackable washer and dryer and only small loads should be done. We had full size, so we would have packed differently. The unit was described as having 2 queen size beds in the master and it did not. The instructions talked about purchasing everything but dishwashing compound and we did not have that.   The condo is advertised as having 3 queen size beds and a sofa sleeper. Upon arrival there was 1 King bed in the master, 1 queen in 2nd bedroom and a sofa sleeper. This was upsetting at first, but we managed and the kids just slept on the sofa sleeper and the couch. Thanks and we hope to come back again!!! It was wonderful....
