  relatively quiet spot, although a neighbor across the way, let their barking dogs outside starting at 7AM every morning. unit was clean and beds were super comfortable. picture of "view" in advertisement is a little misleading- you cannot see the ocean from inside the unit, need to walk around the backyard, across other people's units to see featured view.

  We had an awesome time. Update on the rental info regarding beach towels and beach equipment being available would be helpful for packing. With 5 people it would have lessended our load, but was still appreciated.Directions were a little off on how many
  turns from the highway etc.

  My daughter (11) and I stayed for two weeks in this first floor unit in July 2011, and it was fabulous. As other reviewers have mentioned, the condo is extremely well equipped, clean, and everything was in good working condition. The community was quiet and the grounds are immaculately kept. The ocean was just visible from the kitchen and dining room windows, and this unit is positioned to take advantage of the ocean breeze. The Alii Kai I pool is much larger than it appears in the photos--it was always clean and never crowded. There was plenty of parking, and the condo location was excellent. We went kayaking, horseback riding, tubing, snorkeling, and hiking and it was a pleasure to come home each day to this condo. We hope to come back again next year!

  All in all, a delightful and relatively economical stay in Princeville. Quite comfortable for 2 couples and we felt that saving $50/night by NOT staying in one of the oceanview units was a good deal given that the unit still had beautiful mountain views and the ocean view was only a one minute stroll away. The condo was well equipped and in generally good repair except for a loose shower knob in one bathroom. We never did figure out how to get the new TV and blu-ray DVD player settings correct -- we had to turn the volume way up to hear dialogue but then the other sounds nearly blew us out of our seats. A minor annoyance, but you're not in Hawaii to watch TV, right?

  My family and I traveled ALL the way from Oahu and found the Alii Kai to be a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life! It was very secluded and relaxing! The condo was very clean and there were fresh flowers everywhere that added that special touch! We would definitely recommend this condo to our friends and family! Much Aloha!
